Changes for Critical Skills Visa

Ministers Humphreys and Flanagan announce change to immigration arrangements for spouses and partners of Critical Skills Employment Permit Holders
6th March 2019. This new change will allow for spouses and partners of those who possess a Critical Skills Employment Permit to access the Irish labour market without the need to obtain an additional employment permit.

It will provide the Irish economy with additional benefit whilst competing with similar knowledge economies. According to Minister Humphreys “Fundamentally, this is about ensuring Ireland’s continued competitiveness as a aplce in which to live, work and invest.
