Residential Building Up By Over 50% From Last Year

According to address database site GeoDirectory there now over 14,000 residences under construction. A jump of 52.8% compared to this time last year.

The highest levels of construction were in Dublin followed by the commuter counties of Kildare, Wicklow and Meath.

The national vacancy rate of 4.8% remained unchanged since the last report in December.

At its current levels construction activity is at 4 times the levels of 2015. And is reflected in the number of properties purchased.
