2009

Where It All Started

Jamie Groom and Barry Prost open Propel Consult’s doors in Dubai and Bahrain, backing a simple belief: the Gulf’s best talent deserves a recruitment partner built around them, not the other way around.

Within days of launching, Saudi Arabia and Qatar are already on the map. Propel goes deep from day one, spanning Banking & Finance, HR, Oil & Gas, Construction, and Architecture & Engineering, becoming fluent in the industries that run the Gulf.

2015

More Than a Recruiter

Placements were never the ceiling. Propel builds out C Level Executive Search, Rent a Recruiter, RPO, HR Consulting, and Outplacement Services: full spectrum talent solutions, not one-off hires.

2022

1M+ and Counting

Over a decade of relationships became one of the Gulf’s largest specialist candidate networks, built one conversation at a time, not by algorithm.

2024

Jobs+ Program

Propel partners with the Ministry of Labour and Tamkeen to launch the Jobs+ Program, an exclusive initiative for Bahraini job seekers pairing a comprehensive job database and targeted matching for Bahraini talent with free registration, career support resources, and a dedicated support team, run in partnership with Tamkeen through dedicated Jobs+ Centers.

2025

Setting the Agenda

Propel launches the Future of Work HR Conference, the region’s leading gathering for HR professionals navigating AI, technology, and the future of talent and human resources.
